The restaurant was build to show one of the many ways, You can use the LuxCal calandar. See the booking pages.

Each table is a category.

This example shows something about using parameters. When You click on a table, You see a calendar for just that table.

This is done by using the category parameter.

You can choose between day view and week view.

This is also done via parameters, as the view is a parameter.

You can choose "all tables". This is done via the category parameter and the view can also be selected ( day or week ) via the view parameter.

What public users ( not logged in ) are allowed to see, is a matter of settings in the calandar.

If the calendar was set up for self-registrating, ( which it is not in this example) users could register, log in and book themselves.

On the LuxCal demo ste, You are allowed to make events. Creating an event is much the same as when You book a table. It is only a question of which fields are set up to be awailable, and which views are available - it is the same calendar - all is a matter of settings. That is was makes the calendar a really powerful tool.
