Moving your calendar

If you for some reason have to move your calendar installation to another location on your server, or to another server, then it is a rather easy operation. Remember always to make a backup before you make "changes" to the calendar - just in case.

If it is the L-version ( SqLite ) :
You copy the whole calendar-structure ( calendar root and subfolders ) to the new location - Check that the Calendar URL is set to the new location ( one of the first settings from top ).

If it is the M-version ( MySQL ) :

If it is to another location on the same server with the same database :
You copy the whole calendar-structure ( calendar root and subfolders ) to the new location - Check that the Calendar URL is set to the new location ( one of the first settings from top ).

If it is to another location and another database :
Log in to your calendar, and in the administration drop-down under Database, you make a backup of your data.
On the new server, you make a "new" installation from the original installation files. ( be sure it is the same version as your "running" calendar ).
If you don't have the original installation files anymore, then contact LuxSoft and then you will be supplied with the installation files that matches your existing calendar.
When you have installed the calendar, you will have no data in it - you now have to restore your backup and then you should have your calendar functioning again. Check that the Calendar URL is set to the new location ( one of the first settings from top ).

Upgrading your calendar

If you upgrade from a version before 2.7.2 then you first have to upgrade to version 2.7.2 - you have to contact LuxSoft and then you will be supplied with the installation files for 2.7.2. ( this is a rather old version )

If you have version 2.7.2 or higher, you can directly upgrade to the latest version by downloading from LuxSoft download site, and then follow the instructions for upgrading, that comes in the package.

Before making any changes - take a backup of your calendar data. Follow the instructions given here on this page. If you experience problems/trouble then contact LuxSoft - they will surely help you and guide you, until you have your calendar up and running again.
